Low season in Croatia is from 1st October until 31st May.
The weather in this period is extremely good, typically Mediterranean. The sea temperature
even in the November often remains over 18°C and the air temperature almost never is lower
than 5°C - it's famous "Mimosa celebration" in Opatija in February. Do you know that
hotels on the Hvar island is free when (if) snowing, because it's almost impossible.

Almost all holiday houses present on the "croatiainfo.net" web pages have the same low season
(1/10 - 31/5) price - for a groups of 4 or more persons it's fixed on 10 EURO daily for a person

Prices include the rent of the apartment,
electricity, gas and water, weekly change of bedding,
final cleaning on guest's departure and tourist taxes.
For stay under 5 days prices are +30% increased. Pets
(where allowed) + €5 daily.

Croatian islands are the most northern Mediterranean islands and their position is the closest
to the central Europe. Here are some good reason why somebody should visit Croatia even out of
usual summer period:
• to spend a nice quite shiny weekend, walking along the see and tasting always good
fish meals;
• to spend Easter or 1st May holidays - if the weather is really good, in the May it's
possible to take the first year's bath;
• if you want to see lots of places in Croatia, or make an "all the coast tour", this is
the best period; in the summer there's too much people (Plitvice waterfalls, for example,
in the summer are very poor of water, but if you visit them now, you can see them in their
full beauty);
• to spend an week fishing (neither for a fishing the summer isn't the best season) or
diving in the wonderful places free of "usual tourists";
• to make a trekking on the desert islands or mountains along the coast;

Come to Croatia for an month (or more) to enjoy good Mediterranean weather could be
also an good idea, specially if you are coming from the north with cold and long winters.
It's good to know that almost all restaurants make a special price for daily menu -
usually, the price is about €5 for an complete lunch or dinner.
We asked to house owners if they are able to make an special price for a "whole month rent"
of house in the low season period. We believe that staying in Croatia in the winter, having
a good weather and eating every day in the restaurant (or in the apartment if you prefer),
could even cost you less than stay in your country in your house.
